Uttar Pradesh 10 detained in UP for causing property damage during Agnipath protests According to the Recovery of Damages to Public and Private Property Act, 2020, the Meerut division of claims tribunal has ordered 10 men who are accused of "damaging" public property during a violent protest against the Agnipath scheme's launch earlier this year to pay an aggregate compensation of Rs 1,04,620. This was confirmed on Saturday by Chandra Prakash Mani Tripathi, joint director (prosecution, Meerut).
