“Unidentified Object” prowling in Canadian Airspace shot down by a US fighter jet

An unidentified object was shot down over Canadian airspace by a US fighter jet during a joint operation between the US and Canadian Armed Forces. Since the dramatic downing of a suspected Chinese spy balloon, which prompted an enraged and spiteful response from the Chinese, there have been two other such takedowns in the North American skies.

He further informed that Canadian forces in Yukon "will now recover and analyze the wreckage of the object."

The fact that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed he spoke with US President Joe Biden about the most recent incursion and the Canadian Defense Minister said she spoke with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin demonstrates the close ties between the US and Canada.

Canadian Defense Secretary Tweeted,

"reaffirmed that we'll always defend our sovereignty together,"

US Department of Defence stated that US and Canadian planes flew together to take on the object.

Further Pentagon Spokesman stated in a statement,

"President Biden authorized US fighter aircraft assigned to North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to work with Canada to take down a high-altitude airborne object over northern Canada today,"

AIM 9X missile fired from one of the two F-22 fighter jets that were watching and following the object brought it down.

Also White House informed that Biden and Trudeau spoke among themselves and "commended NORAD's and US Northern Command's strong and effective partnership and agreed to continue their close coordination to detect, track, and defend our airspace."

The object was shot down over Yukon, a Canadian province that shares a border with Alaska, where fighter aircraft shot down another object on Friday off Alaska's north coast, close to the village of Deadhorse.

Northern Command said in a statement,

Search and recovery efforts to locate the object's remnants are ongoing, but have been hampered by Arctic "wind, chill, snow, and limited daylight.
