Several Media reports have revealed that Pakistan sent the same relief material to Turkey , which it had received from it during its devastating floods. Turkish Consulate General raised the matter before the Pakistan Enternal Affairs Ministry and local news media outlets, and expressed their disappointment with the government over the incident. For Pakistan it is a major face of loss because the goods sent by Turkey to help Pakistani flood victims , were carried by Pak rescue teams to help the Turkish victims in the name of Pakistani aid. Pakistani Leadership forced to cancel trip to Turkey For Pakistan it has been a comedy of errors which has been playing out on the international arena. Before the aid package fiasco , Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharrif was advised to cancel his visit to the earthquake affected area by Ankara. There are also reports that Pakistani Premier Shehbaz Sharrif and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zaradari had plans to visit Turkey, just two days after the devastating earth quake had hit and crippled the region. The decision to travel abroad by Pakistani leadership during current economic downturn of the country was severely criticized by the citizens of the country. However, relief package fiasco puts Pakistan in a tough spot, as Turkey is one of its staunchest and most reliable ally , always ready to provide Pakistan with technical , scientific and arms support.
