This comes amidst reports of a stolen crown of Goddess Kali, gifted by PM Modi. According to reports from ANI, they identified themselves as members of a cultural group and received permission from a Puja committee member to perform. However, they started singing Islamic songs on the Durga Puja stage, which escalated the situation into a religious statement, causing massive outrage among Hindus attending the Durga Puja celebrations.
