The incident took place on a nine-hour Delta Air Lines flight. In the wake of gross negligence, a $2 million lawsuit has been filed against the airline. Additional compensation has also been sought for the victims. Lawsuit against airlines A woman and her teenage daughter were sexually assaulted by a man during a nine-hour Delta Air Line Flight. The man was served at least 10 vodka drinks and a glass of wine before he attempted to grope the 16-year-old girl and her mother, as per the court documents. The $2 million lawsuit suggests that the flight attendant blatantly ignored the man's advances towards the female passengers as he continued to behave aggressively toward them. It further claimed that working flight attendants did nothing to stop the man from over-consumption of alcohol or prevent his inappropriate behaviour. "The intoxicated Delta passenger appeared to be getting drunker and drunker as the Delta flight attendants continued serving him alcohol," the lawsuit claims. As per the complaint, when the mother-daughter duo reached out for help, the flight attendant did nothing and told them to be "patient". Passenger verbally abused and inappropriately touched mother-daughter duo The man verbally abused and inappropriately touched both women during the July 16 flight. He also made "obscene gestures" while also demanding to gather their personal information such as their name and address. The man did not stop despite the woman telling him that her daughter is a minor. He allegedly replied saying he does not care, reaching over to the girl and pulling her mother's arm. As per the lawsuit, the teenage girl also suffered a panic attack owing to the man's behaviour. As per reports, the airline "has zero tolerance for customers who engage in inappropriate or unlawful behaviour."
