Viral Video: Actress-turned-politician Jaya Bachchan recently called on Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar to apologise after a heated episode in the Rajya Sabha. This altercation started during a session where BJP MP Ghanshyam Tiwari's comments criticising Opposition Leader Mallikarjun Kharge caused a rift. Since then, several videos have gone viral which also caused Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to trend on social media platform X. 

Jaya Bachchan’s Stance in Rajya Sabha

Supported by senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and other opposition figures, Jaya Bachchan expressed her disapproval of the tone used by Vice President Dhankhar during the Rajya Sabha session. "I objected to the tone used by the Chair. We are not schoolchildren. Some of us are senior citizens. I was upset with the tone, and especially when the Leader of the Opposition stood up to speak, the mike was switched off," she stated.

Aishwarya Rai’s Name Dragged into Controversy

As the heated debate between Jaya Bachchan and Jagdeep Dhankhar went viral, netizens were quick to drag Aishwarya Rai into the discussion. The hashtag #Aishwarya started trending, with many questioning how Jaya Bachchan could stand alongside Sonia Gandhi, given that Sonia's son, Rahul Gandhi, had previously referenced Aishwarya during his election campaigns. Some social media users praised Vice President Dhankhar for his handling of the situation.
