Mann Kasturi Re Review: New sensation and heartthrob of many, Tejasswi Prakash, is all set to be now visible on the big screens as her new film ‘Mann Kasturi Re’ released today.

Tejasswi Prakash and Abhinay Berde play the key roles in Sanket Mane's directorial love drama, which has new looks and vibes but an seemingly old plot. It's romantic undertones are nothing new to Marathi cinema or to audience. Many believe that after the success of ‘Sairat’, these kind of films have become too much stream-line.

Siddhant (Abhinay Berde) and Shruti (Tejasswi Prakash) two young birds, tell their love tale in Mann Kasturi Re. While Shruti comes from a wealthy household, Siddhant is from a poor one and has lofty goals. Siddhant is attracted to Shruti and they begin flirting; even Siddhant isn't very attracted to it. Siddhant makes it apparent to Shruti that he is not prepared for marriage because of his financial and professional planning when it comes to the proposal.

Performance of Tejasswi Prakash

When it comes to performance, Tejasswi's debut is decent. Her followers are going to adore it more than anything because of her enthusiasm and sweetness while delivering dialogues.

Tejasswi has a ways to go but the flow, consistency, and maturity are lacking. Abhinay Berde has a good appearance and performs well within the situation. He is yet to play a difficult role in his career, therefore the wait is still on. In the second half of the movie, the stereotypical chocolate boy image is shattered, but because it has less screen time, he is unable to fully explore it.

Even though Veena Jamkar is one of the best actors in Marathi cinema, her performance in this film is somewhat not good by comparison. Even with a good talent like Rajshri Deshpande struggling with a few lines of dialogue, the supporting cast as a whole is strictly enough.

Should you watch Mann Kasturi Re?

The film has an average storyline and you will be disappointed if you are planning to look for a fresh story. It can be sluggish at some time as the story becomes predictable.
