Revengus, A Twitter user, wrote, “Rumours are circulating that Samsung will add a triple fold to its lineup this year. With Huawei almost certain to release a triple fold in the second quarter of this year, from Samsung’s perspective, it cannot afford to miss out on the title of ‘world’s first tri-fold phone’.

Expected launch timeline

In addition, according to the tipster, Huawei is "almost certain to release a triple fold in the second quarter of this year," and Samsung "cannot afford to miss out on the title of 'world's first.'"

Samsung would therefore need to aim for a debut window in the first quarter of 2024, or very early in the second quarter at the least, if the most recent Huawei timeline holds true (it was originally anticipated to launch a triple foldable last year).
