Gurman asserts that iOS 18 might be the biggest iPhone update ever released. Two aspects are known, though more information will soon be available.

The Messages app and Siri are predicted to be able to handle questions and auto-complete sentences better with the introduction of generative AI technology in iOS 18. Gurman said Apple is looking into implementing comparable AI capabilities for other programs, such as Xcode, Pages, Keynote, and Apple Music. According to reports, huge language models—which might potentially debut in 2024—will also automate difficult chores and integrate with the Shortcuts app.

Furthermore, it is anticipated that iOS 18 will bring RCS compatibility to the Messages app, improving the standard texting experience between Android and iPhone users.

Higher-resolution media sharing, voice messaging, typing indicators, read receipts, improved group conversations, Wi-Fi messaging across Android and iPhone devices, and improved encryption are all examples of this.
