Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh Allocates Rs 90 Crore for Hi-Tech Security Measures at Ram Lalla Consecration Ceremony Neha Kumari Jan 06, 2024 17:48 GMT In preparation for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, Uttar Pradesh is set to invest Rs 90 crore in advanced security infrastructure, incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI). The state plans to deploy 15,000 personnel and employ cutting-edge security equipment, such as crash-rated bollards, under-vehicle scanners, and boom barriers. AI-based surveillance will be a crucial component of the security measures, aimed at preventing potential attacks and intrusions. Uttar Pradesh Allocates Rs 90 Crore for Hi-Tech Security Measures at Ram Lalla Consecration Ceremony The security setup includes 26 paramilitary companies, the provincial armed constabulary, and nearly 8,000 civil police personnel. The UP Anti-Terror Squad (ATS), Special Task Force, and central agencies like the National Security Guards will also be actively involved in ensuring a secure environment for the ceremony. Central intelligence agencies, along with Uttar Pradesh Police officials, are coordinating with the district administration in Ayodhya to devise a comprehensive security plan for various locations in the temple town. The security measures comprise a CCTV surveillance system worth Rs 11 crore, an access control system worth Rs 8.56 crore, crash-rated bollards, bulletproof vehicles, bulletproof jackets, anti-drone systems, night vision devices, and an integrated command and control system. Vehicles worth Rs 1.02 crore have been acquired for security personnel. The state government has entrusted around Rs 90 crore for the procurement and installation of these security measures. The process is underway, with completion expected in the coming days. The director general of Law and Order, Prashant Kumar, affirmed that the security arrangements would undergo continuous review and improvement based on future requirements. Elaborating on the security infrastructure, the GM of Uttar Pradesh Rajkiya Nirman Nigam (UPRNN), CK Srivastava, highlighted the implementation of various security measures, including boom barriers, bollards, and tyre killers to prevent intrusion attempts.
