Security measures stepped up in and around Ayodhya, following arrest of two terrorists in Delhi

Security measures have been strengthened and tightened as a result of the arrest of two terrorists in Delhi. These terrorists were instructed to attack prominent Hindu leaders by their handlers from across the border.

Security Apparatus strengthened in Ayodhya

To prevent undesirable terror activities, the security infrastructure in Ayodhya has been bolstered and strengthened, and 24-hour surveillance is being conducted.

Two-wheelers and four-wheelers entering Ayodhya are being checked by the security forces, and people are being allowed to enter the city after their ID cards have been verified.

Past Terror incidents

There have been terrorist-related incidents in Ayodhaya in the past as well, but they were foiled by the security forces. Ram Janmabhoomi was the target of an attack in 2005, during which security personnel killed 5 terrorists. The second incident involved a cooker bomb that was neutralised when it was discovered at Ayodhaya, Hanumangarhi.

Sources claim that police have seized from terrorists three pistols, 22 live cartridges, and two hand grenades.
