khelo India Logo Launch, here's more information

The Khelo India University Games started on Friday in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. During this, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Union Youth and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur inaugurated the logo, mascot, jersey, torch and anthem of the program to be held.

We have produced international players

The state was once known for riots, but now it will be known for its 'riots', Union Minister Anurag Thakur said at the launch event of Khelo India University Games, according to news agency ANI. The wrestlers here and our medalists will win medals in rifle shooting. He said that in the last five years we have started the Khelo India scheme. We have produced international level players.

Changed opinion of people towards sports

At the same time, CM Yogi present in the program said that a decade ago people did not have a good opinion about sports and players. People used to think that sports are an unnecessary activity and a waste of time, but now people's thinking has changed. People are now encouraging their children to participate in sports.

Players also make the country strong

During the program, CM Yogi Adityanath said that sports activities can not only keep a person fit, but can also make our country strong. The Khelo India and Fit India movements are part of the same series. People should participate in sports to stay healthy. Apart from CM Yogi and Anurag Thakur, Uttar Pradesh Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav, Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh and Additional Chief Sports Secretary Navneet Sehgal were also present in the programme.
