A group of 15-16 people conspired to create this chaos. They had permission and a mapped plan. Some unidentified vehicles were present at the stampede site. Witnesses reported seeing 10-12 people spraying poison, leading to women collapsing and dying from breathlessness. These individuals fled the scene. The SIT and SP Hathras are investigating. CCTV footage needs to be reviewed to identify those vehicles. This was all planned," Singh stated, per PTI. Preacher Bhole Baba’s Response Bhole Baba, also known as Suraj Pal Singh, expressed his deep sorrow over the incident. "I am deeply saddened by the July 2 incident. May God give us the strength to bear this pain. Please have faith in the government and the administration. I believe that those responsible for this chaos will not be spared. Through my lawyer AP Singh, I have urged the committee members to support the bereaved families and the injured throughout their lives," said Bhole Baba. Arrests and Investigation The main accused, Devprakash Madhukar, surrendered to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) last week. So far, nine people, including Madhukar, have been arrested in connection with the stampede. AP Singh emphasized that he would not seek anticipatory bail, asserting that his clients were not at fault. Government's Response and Probe Panel The Uttar Pradesh government has formed a three-member probe panel chaired by Justice (retd) Brijesh Kumar Srivastava. The panel has requested the public to submit any video recordings of the event and the stampede. The investigation is expected to be completed within the next two months.
