Ghaziabad News: Three individuals, including two minors, tragically lost their lives in a devastating road accident on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on Saturday. The incident occurred when a car carrying eleven students from Amroha district collided with a stationary truck on the expressway, followed by another truck hitting the vehicle from behind. The students were en route to Jamia Millia Islamia University to appear for an entrance exam for admission to class 6.

The accident took place near Neelam Dharamkante, prompting police from the Crossing Republic police station to rush to the scene. The injured individuals were swiftly evacuated and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Ziauddin Ahmed confirmed that the driver of the Ertiga car, identified as Anas (24), along with two students named Unesh (12) and Azam (13), succumbed to their injuries in the accident, which occurred at 6:45 am. The driver of the stationary truck, named Saddam, fled from the spot, but was later apprehended by the authorities.

According to Saddam, he had halted the truck due to a technical issue. Subsequently, police officers, assisted by automobile engineers, will conduct an inspection of the truck to determine if any mechanical issues contributed to the accident. Saddam further explained that before he could address the technical problem, the car collided with the rear of the truck, resulting in the tragic incident.
