Technical Glitch Disrupts CT Scans in Hospitals

Consequently, there has been a surge in the workload at the CT scan center of M.M.G. Hospital. With over 100 patients arriving daily for CT scan appointments, the existing infrastructure is overwhelmed, leading to delays in examination scheduling.

While the hospital manages to conduct scans for around 90 patients between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., the remaining individuals are rescheduled for the following day. M.M.G. Hospital, catering to over 1800 outpatients daily, advises approximately 50 to 60 patients to undergo CT scans routinely.

Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) of M.M.G. Hospital, highlighted that the burden of CT scan services in the entire district falls on their center. To accommodate the influx of patients, those affected by the malfunctioning machine are being provided appointments for the subsequent day.

Technicians are diligently working to resolve the issue

Meanwhile, efforts are underway to rectify the technical glitch at the CT scan center of the Joint Hospital. Technicians are diligently working to resolve the issue, and once resolved, the examinations will resume promptly.
