Gangster Turned Politician Mukhtar Ansari Passes Away After Suffering Heart Attack

Mukhtar Ansari, a controversial figure who straddled the worlds of crime and politics, passed away on Thursday at the age of 60. The former MLA from Mau in Uttar Pradesh suffered a cardiac arrest and was rushed to the Rani Durgawati Medical College in Banda in an unconscious state.

Hospitalised After Health Deteriorated

Ansari's health had taken a turn for the worse earlier this week. He was admitted to the Banda Medical College on Tuesday after complaining of abdominal pain. Though he was discharged soon after, his condition worsened on Thursday, leading to the cardiac arrest.

Ansari's family has raised concerns about the conditions of his confinement, alleging that he may have been poisoned in prison. However, these claims have not been substantiated.
