Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, inaugurated the Deepotsav celebrations. This year marks a special occasion as it is the first Diwali for Lord Ramlala in the newly constructed temple. An impressive 25 lakh lamps will light up 55 ghats, requiring 92 thousand liters of mustard oil. He stated, "Today Ayodhya is shining. Ayodhya is the beginning of Sanatan Dharma." He highlighted the beauty of Kashi and acknowledged the world's recognition of these sacred places. He credited Prime Minister Modi for his leadership, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when he laid the temple's foundation on August 5, 2020.
