 Rajasthan news: Muslim students thrash Hindu boy for wearing tilak in Alwar, FIR registered

Rajasthan news: In a bizarre turn of events, members of two communities were seen indulging in violent clashes in Rajasthan’s Alwar after some Muslim students at a government school reportedly objected to Hindu students wearing tilak on their forehead. 

Clashes erupt between Hindu and Muslim students

In Rajasthan’s Chora village, a bunch of Muslim students objected to Hindu students wearing tilaks on their foreheads. According to reports, following the clashes between students of two communities, parents, too, joined in, further instigating violence. The police said that a class 11 student Shubham Rajout had applied tilak on his forehead. Some Muslim students objected to the same and assaulted him. After this incident, over 500 people from both communities gathered outside the school, leading to violent clashes between the two communities. Shubham’s parents have filed a First Investigation Report (FIR) in the case. Police personnel were deployed in large numbers have been deployed to prevent further clashes in the area.

How it all began 

The clashes began after some Muslim students, on Tuesday, objected to a Hindu student wearing a tilak on his forehead. After brief beef between the two groups, many students were seen wearing tilaks the following day. This led to a rift between the two groups, which ended in violent ethnic clashes. According to Shubham, he was threatened by eight boys from the Muslim community for wearing tilak. They reportedly asked him to remove tilak to avoid consequences. When he refused to remove the tilak, the Muslim students forcibly removed the tilak from his forehead. 

Shubham’s parents have filed a police complaint under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the case. Police are currently investing the case.
