Punjab News : Punjab-Lucknow Police Collaboration Leads to Arrest of Two Wanted Shooters in High-Profile Murder Cases

Punjab News: In a coordinated operation between Punjab and Lucknow police, two notorious shooters wanted in separate high-profile murder cases in Punjab were apprehended on Monday. The suspects, identified as Bikramjit “Vicky” and Punjab Singh, were located and arrested from a rental residence in the Indiranagar area of Lucknow, where they had been hiding as tenants.

Bikramjit Vicky: Suspect in the Murder of AAP Functionary Gurpreet Singh Gopi Mahal

The first accused, Bikramjit Vicky, was implicated in the murder of Gurpreet Singh Gopi Chola, an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) worker. The incident took place in Tarn Taran on March 1, 2024, near Goindwal Sahib when Gopi Chola was allegedly ambushed at a railway crossing. He had been on his way to a court hearing in Sultanpur Lodhi when he was tragically shot. The police, in collaboration with family statements, believe the murder may have been premeditated, sparking a detailed investigation.

Punjab Singh: Suspect in a Ferozepur Triple Murder Case

The second apprehended shooter, Punjab Singh, was allegedly involved in a shocking triple homicide near the Akalgarh Gurdwara in Ferozepur on September 3, 2024. Jaspreet Kaur, along with her cousin Dildeep Singh and another individual, fell victim to this attack while reportedly on their way to make purchases for an upcoming family event.

Ongoing Investigations and Enhanced Security Measures

The joint police operation, culminating in these arrests, marks a significant step in the ongoing crackdown on organized crime. Punjab Police have confirmed that investigations are underway to establish further links and possible motives, and authorities are pursuing additional leads to ensure justice.
