The award was presented during the World Tourism Day celebrations held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, organized by the Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture. Vidyavathi. This accolade celebrates Hansali's excellence in organic farming, immersive farm-to-table experiences, and rural tourism, making it a model village for agri-based tourism. This achievement marks another success for Punjab in promoting rural tourism. Last year, Nawan Pind Sandaran in Gurdaspur district was awarded the Best Tourism Village of India 2023. To celebrate World Tourism Day, the Punjab Tourism Department is also organizing various events across prominent monuments and tourist destinations throughout the state.
