Punjab and Haryana High Court Orders Probe into Irregularities in Recruitment of 102 Patwaris in Haryana

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has directed the Haryana government to investigate irregularities in the recruitment of 102 patwaris during the Hooda administration. The court has instructed a thorough examination of the selected patwaris' application documents and attached paperwork to ascertain if any illegitimate benefits were conferred. The government has been given four weeks to complete the investigation and an additional eight weeks to take appropriate action based on the findings.

After hearing all parties involved, the High Court mandated the Haryana government to scrutinize the applications of the selected patwaris, ensuring compliance with the advertised rules and conditions. Additionally, a verification of the supporting documents for claims of reserved category benefits is required, with validation from the relevant department. Following this process, if irregularities are identified, the government is empowered to take necessary legal actions.

The court emphasized that if candidates are found to have violated the terms and conditions of the advertisement, the concerned candidate should be questioned, and the department has the autonomy to take appropriate action. The state has been allotted four weeks to complete the investigation, with an additional eight weeks for the government to implement corrective measures based on the findings.
