Patna News: Boon for Commuters! Patna-Rajgir Highway to reduce Travel time substantially, will bring great relief

Patna News: Passengers traveling from Patna to Rajgir will now be able to reach their destination in One and a half hour. The Road Construction Department approved the budget of over 868 crore rupees for the construction of a new 4 lane Highway from Patna City to Rajgir. Once the Highway is built, the distance between Patna and Rajgir will be reduced to 75 kms. The plan was approved by the cabinet last month. With the construction of the new highway, the Tourism industry will also get a boost as this highway also connects the Buddhist circuit.

Highway will reduce Travel Time to less than 2 Hours

The Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a meet and it was decided that a 4 lane Highway should be built from NH-82 Salepur to Rajgir via Nalanda’s Nursarai Ahiyapur Silav. There are currently 3 ways to reach Rajgir from Patna, but these are longer routes and takes time by road. Once the 4 lane Highway is completed, the travel time will be comparatively less than 2 hours.

Govt Planning to built 3 Flyovers, 70 small bridges

Government is trying to acquire land to built 3 Flyovers and about 70 small bridges. Over 80 percent of the construction work will be completed in the year 2023-2024. The Highway will save lot of travel time and will provide great relief to the travellers on the route.
