Meerut News: Rapid X Operations in second phase, MD takes stock of construction

Meerut News: NCRTC Director took stock of the preparations and construction work of the RapidX train. He reached Ghaziabad from Duhai to Meerut south station to have a look at the construction work. He inspected the OHE wire, tracks and other works on the construction site. The second phase of construction has to begin in the Modinagar South, Murad Nagar north and Meerut south. The distance between Duhai to Meerut South station is over 25kms in which the construction work of viaduct is complete. The total length of up and down lines in the section is 50 km.

NCRTC Chief inspected tracks, platforms etc.

The NCRTC Chief inspected the tracks, wiring, platform, technical rooms, finishing work of stations, construction of Pre fabricated roof structure etc. Currently the priority section from Duhai depot to Sahibabad is ready for operation of trains and service will be start for the passengers soon.

Train will take 60 mins to reach Delhi from Meerut

Construction work of the Rapid X Train began in June 2019, The entire 82 km corridor is set to open for the public in 2025. The train will take 60 mins to reach from Meerut to Delhi. And it will be available at a frequency of 5-10 minutes.
