Meerut News: Prime Minister likely to inaugurate RapidX Train before the LS Polls; How it will reshape travel in the region

Meerut News: One of the anticipated RapidX train is likely to get a Green Signal to run this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the RapidX train till meerut before the Lok sabha elections. The trial of the Rapidx train has been completed after receiving a safety clearance on the 17km long priority section from Sahibabad to Duhai.  The commuters were hoping to see the train running in the month of August, unfortunately they will now have to wait till the end of this year to enjoy the ride in the RapidX train.

How it will Reshape Travel in the Region

With the 82km long project, commuters are hoping to get relief from the Traffic Congestion. Passengers travelling from Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai and Duhai Depot will benefit from the RapidX Train. The Train will run on long distance with stoppage on less stations with a faster speed. Each Train will be Air-Conditioned and will have separate coaches for women. Train will also have separate Business coaches which will help business class passengers to use Public Transport.

NCRTC to prepare track till Meerut by December

The NCRTC is likely to prepare the track till Meerut by the December month. This could be one of the reasons, that PM is expected to inaugurate the RapidX train by the end of the year. The RapidX Train will run from Ghaziabad to Meerut. The NCRTC had already finished working on the track of Sahibabad to Duhai.

Tunnel Work on the Delhi-Meerut Route is over

NCRTC has also speed up construction work on the Duhai station to Meerut. Workers are currently laying the track on this section. The tunnel work is also completed on the Delhi to Meerut route. NCRTC also claims that work from Duhai to Meerut entry point will be finished by December.
