Meerut News: Over 16000 Motorists caught for Traffic Violation under the ‘Pakhwada’ Campaign

Meerut News: The Traffic Police of the city has caught over 16000 motorists for Traffic Violation under the ‘Pakhwada’ Campaign. The Department has collected around 15 lakh rupees after conducting the fine. The ‘Pakhwada’ campaign was held from July 13to 17th, and the Traffic Police has charged more than 16000 people for violating traffic rules. The Traffic Police has recovered fine for not wearing helmets, driving on the wrong side etc. The SP of the city said that it is prohibited to drive two wheelers on highways, we have fined Rs 20000 for violating the rule.

People have been asked to obey Traffic Rules, no one listens

The city’s Traffic Police has been warning the locals about the strict traffic rules by using placards and advertisements. Some people took it seriously and obeyed the traffic rules by wearing helmets, seat belts, maintaining speed of the vehicle etc. But there were others who did not care to obey the rules, so they were charged with fine.

Many fines were sent directly to the Residence

Many commuters were seen arguing with the Traffic Police Constables when they were caught violating the rule, but the Traffic Police had sent the fine on their residences. The Department aims to carry the same rule forward.
