Madhya Pradesh MP Weather Update: 32 Districts Covered, Entire State Soaked Neha Kumari Jul 06, 2024 09:51 GMT Monsoon has finally made its way to Madhya Pradesh, covering 32 districts within just three days. According to the meteorological department, the entire state is expected to be covered by monsoon rains within the next five days, with the Gwalior-Chambal region being the last to receive the cloud cover. Rainfall Predictions and Early Showers Rainfall is estimated to reach up to 106% of the normal levels this season. A strong weather system is predicted to become active on June 25-26, ensuring that the entire state experiences significant monsoon showers. Earlier this week, between Sunday night and Monday, 17 districts, including major cities like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Jabalpur, received rainfall. Bhopal recorded the highest rainfall at 1.7 inches, followed by Dhar-Sagar with 1 inch, and Satna with 1.2 inches. Other areas such as Indore, Khargone, Shivpuri, and Khandwa saw half an inch or more of rain. Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Raisen, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Mandla, Naugaon, Seoni, and Tikamgarh also experienced showers. Incident in Barwani In Barwani, on Monday morning, a health worker's Bolero vehicle got stuck in water on the Goi river bridge while transporting children to school. Fortunately, everyone was safely rescued in time, averting any potential disaster. With the monsoon now in full swing, residents across Madhya Pradesh are advised to stay updated with weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during the heavy rains expected in the coming days.
