Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya announced this decision after the cabinet meeting, stating that all beneficiaries under the 'Ladli Behna' scheme would receive gas cylinders at ₹450 each, with the state government compensating the difference of ₹399.

Additionally, as part of Raksha Bandhan celebrations, the government will provide an extra ₹250 to women beneficiaries of the 'Ladli Behna' scheme this month, with payments scheduled for August 1. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had initiated the 'Ladli Behna' scheme, which was considered a key factor in the BJP's record victory in 2023.

In another significant move, the cabinet has decided to provide insurance coverage for Anganwadi workers. Under the Saksham Anganwadi Nutrition Scheme, all Anganwadi workers will be covered by the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, with the premiums funded by the state government. This will benefit 57,324 Anganwadi workers in the state.

Furthermore, under the MP Rural Connectivity Project, the government plans to complete all pending projects to connect villages with cities. The state government will contribute additional funds alongside the central government's support to finish these projects.
