Kurukshetra University Recruitment: Kurukshetra University, a renowned center of academic excellence, is committed to preparing proficient scholars and professionals with ingrained human values and a commitment to advancing society. The university has opened applications for various teaching posts as part of its recruitment drive for 2024.

Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Professors

Candidates applying for the position of Assistant Professor must meet the following qualifications:

Category A

1. Educational Qualifications:

• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in a relevant subject from an Indian or accredited foreign university.
• The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, or similar tests accredited by UGC like SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. degree as per UGC regulations.

1. Ph.D. Exemption Criteria:

• Candidates with a Ph.D. registered before July 11, 2009, must meet specific criteria, such as having their thesis evaluated by external examiners and publishing research papers in refereed journals.

Category B

• Ph.D. obtained from a top 500 ranked foreign university, as recognized by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.

Shortlisting and Scoring Criteria

Candidates will be shortlisted for interviews based on a comprehensive scoring system:

• Graduation and Post-Graduation: Up to 25 marks based on percentage scores.
• M.Phil. and Ph.D.: Up to 37 marks.
• NET/JRF/SLET/SET: Up to 7 marks.
• Research Publications: Up to 10 marks.
• Teaching/Post-Doctoral Experience: Up to 10 marks.
• Awards: Up to 3 marks.

A total score of 100 will be considered, combining academic achievements, research publications, and teaching experience. The top 25+5N candidates per category will be invited for interviews, with N representing the number of available posts.

Interview Evaluation

Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on:

• Subject Knowledge
• Communication Skills
• Teaching Abilities and Strategies
• Research Potential
• Scholarly Contributions

Selection decisions will be based solely on interview performance.
