Haryana Haryana News: Panipat Municipal Corporation Embarks on City Beautification Project Neha Kumari Dec 18, 2023 10:57 GMT The Municipal Corporation (MC) in Panipat has initiated a city beautification project, focusing on painting the walls of government buildings and park perimeters along NH-44. The endeavor, aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the city, has begun with a pilot project at Lodhi Park, adjacent to Drain-2, where artists are adorning walls with captivating pictures. Panipat, renowned as the 'Textile City,' is globally recognized for its handloom and textile products. In an effort to further enhance the city's charm, the MC has launched this beautification program. Panipat Municipal Corporation Embarks on City Beautification Project A municipal official revealed that the initiative encompasses the painting of walls across government buildings, spanning from Skylark to the Old Bus Stand, red light to the Fire Station, and including the walls of the Mini-Secretariat and rest houses. The initial phase involves an allocation of tenders amounting to Rs 20 lakh for the beautification of four parks and some repair work in Ward 4, with work already underway at Lodhi Park. Despite floating a tender for wall paintings as part of a Rs 38 lakh beautification program, there has been no response from bidders thus far, according to sources.
