Haryana Haryana News: Haryana Government Launches 'Atal Seva Kendras' to Improve Online Services in Rural Areas Neha Kumari Apr 10, 2024 16:51 GMT Haryana News: The BJP-led government in Haryana has embarked on a new initiative to address the challenges faced by people in availing online services. In a bid to alleviate these issues, the state government has planned to establish 'Atal Seva Kendras' in every panchayat across the state. As part of the initial phase, operators have been selected for 3400 villages through two rounds of written examinations. The eligibility criteria for operators at Atal Seva Kendras include a minimum educational qualification of 12th pass along with proficiency in computer skills. These operators, appointed in villages, will be placed under the jurisdiction of the Development and Panchayat Department. The recruitment process for youth in other villages will commence after the removal of the Model Code of Conduct, with plans to expand the initiative in June. Selection of Operators for 3400 Villages Initiated, Plans to Establish Atal Seva Kendras in Every Panchayat Additionally, the recruitment drive has been extended to urban areas, with advertisements issued for 800 operator positions at Atal Seva Kendras in cities. The management of these centers in urban areas will be overseen by the Haryana Urban Development Authority and the Urban Local Bodies Department. These centers will be equipped with computers, furniture, internet connectivity, electricity, and other essential amenities, managed by the Panchayat and Municipal Department. Compensation and Fixed Stipend Scheme Introduced Selected youth will receive a fixed stipend of Rs 6,000 per month from the government. Furthermore, nominal fees have been set for various citizen services, which will be transacted online to ensure transparency and efficiency, culminating in an approximate monthly income of around Rs 15,000 for these youth.
