Haryana News: CM Khattar Highlights Development Initiatives and Criticizes Previous Government

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently asserted that corruption, crime, and caste-based politics thrived under the previous Congress-led government. Speaking at a virtual gathering of beneficiaries of government schemes as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Khattar emphasized the shift towards development-oriented politics since the BJP assumed office in 2014. The state focused on holistic progress, emphasizing education, health, security, self-respect, and self-reliance.

Khattar underscored the challenges faced by citizens under the previous regime, including difficulties in availing scheme benefits and corruption issues. He contrasted the earlier scenario with the present, highlighting radical changes in the system that have enabled eligible beneficiaries to access government schemes seamlessly.

The ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra serves as a vital means to connect with those not yet benefiting from government schemes. Khattar urged citizens to actively participate in the yatra, emphasizing its role in fulfilling the Prime Minister's vision of making India a developed nation.

The Chief Minister discussed various initiatives, including the establishment of micro-industries in every block and the engagement of around 65 lakh women in self-help groups. He also touched upon the growth of the food processing industry in Haryana. Since the yatra's launch in Haryana, over 5,000 programs have been conducted, with active participation from more than 37 lakh people. The yatra aims to raise awareness about central government schemes such as Ujjwala Yojana, Awas Yojana, and Mudra Yojana.
