Haryana Haryana News: City Development Projects Worth 100 Crore Set to Take Off Soon, Check Details Here Major Urban Projects Resuming in Haryana with Over 100 Crore Investment Post-Code of Conduct Lift Harsh Jun 02, 2024 11:39 GMT Haryana News: With the Model Code of Conduct lifting, Haryana is ready for a growth spurt. There are a number of large-scale projects that were put on hold but are now ready to go forward again, offering tremendous improvements in urban infrastructure. Major Projects Underway Post-June 4th Work assignments to different agencies will start from June 4th, reviving projects worth over 100 crore rupees that have been blocked. The following initiatives are a part of the large-scale Divya Nagar scheme: Beautification and Infrastructure Projects: Beautification of Three Roads: Enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of key thoroughfares. Open-Air Theater Construction: A significant cultural addition, enhancing entertainment facilities. Garbage Collection and Disposal: Implementing door-to-door waste management systems. Installation of Tube Wells: Ensuring clean drinking water for 35 newly approved colonies. Once the constraints are eliminated, work may be allocated quickly because the majority of tendering processes have been completed. To complete agency selection, a few tenders must be recalled. Twin City Open-Air Theater and Auditorium The open-air theatre and auditorium in Twin City, which cost 46 crore rupees, is one of the notable constructions. The government and the municipal corporation each contribute 23 crore rupees, which is divided evenly between them. This location, which covers more than four acres in Sector-17, will include designated parking. Since the design is complete, it is anticipated that the tendering process would get underway right away. Installation of Iron Benches Across the City A 2.5 crore rupee expenditure will be used to build iron benches in each of the 22 wards. This project has already had its tender accepted, thus it will be finished on schedule. Infrastructure Improvements in Wards Specific wards are set to receive targeted infrastructure improvements: Ward No. 13: Tenders for street and drain construction in three newly approved colonies have been recalled, costing millions of rupees. Ward No. 12 - Badi Majra Colony: Long-delayed drainage work, costing about 50 lakh rupees (around $60,000), will finally commence, addressing severe waterlogging issues. Jammu Colony: The project to build a welcome gate, costing about two lakh rupees (around $2,400), has seen tender recalls twice. Wards 18 and 22: Pending street and drain works will soon restart, improving living conditions in these areas. Beautification of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk's makeover, which would cost around 15 lakh rupees, has been delayed since tenders have been recalled several times.
