Haryana News: Boost for Economically Weaker Youth in Haryana as Government Jobs Offer Respite

In Haryana, youth belonging to the economically weaker sections (EWS) can now benefit from expedited joining in government jobs, providing a potential lifeline for many.Following the issuance of appointment orders for 46 individuals in the Haryana Power Transmission Corporation, hopes are now rising for 165 youth across 18 departments to receive similar relief.

Legal Disputes Delay Job Appointments

Due to ongoing legal disputes, appointment orders for these employees have not been issued. Most of these employees had applied to government departments in 2015, and their appointments were put on hold due to legal challenges against providing reservation for economically weaker sections.

Chief Minister's Announcement at Brahmin Mahakumbh Brings Hope

The Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal, had announced the provision of reservation for economically weaker sections during the Brahmin Mahakumbh in Karnal. He assured the removal of any legal obstacles hindering the implementation of this reservation.

Recently, the Haryana Power Transmission Corporation issued recruitment orders for 46 individuals, creating optimism for the remaining candidates who have faced legal challenges in securing government jobs.

With robust legal support from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the state government has gained the confidence to issue appointment orders for these deserving youth who had been entangled in legal complexities for an extended period.

The Haryana government had introduced reservation provisions for economically weaker sections in educational institutions and government jobs to uplift the economically disadvantaged youth.The reservation policy aims to provide 5% reservation in Group A and B jobs and 10% reservation in Group C and D jobs for economically weaker sections, contributing to social inclusion and empowerment in the state.
