Haryana News: In a significant blow to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Haryana government led by Nayab Singh Saini finds itself in troubled waters. On Tuesday, the political landscape in Haryana witnessed a seismic shift as three Independent MLAs withdrew their support, throwing the BJP-led government into a minority.

The current composition of the 90-member Haryana Assembly stands at 88, with the BJP holding 40 seats. However, the withdrawal of support by MLAs Sombir Sangwan, Randhir Golan, and Dharampal Gondar has rattled the ruling party. These legislators have now pledged their allegiance to the Congress party.

Randhir Golan, speaking on behalf of the dissenting MLAs, cited mounting issues such as unemployment and inflation over the past 4.5 years as the catalyst for their decision. He emphasized the loss of trust in the incumbent government, resonating with sentiments echoed by former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

However, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini downplayed the significance of these developments, accusing the Congress of catering solely to vested interests rather than the public will. Meanwhile, Haryana Congress chief Uday Bhan called for Saini's immediate resignation, asserting that his government no longer commands a majority in the Assembly.

With the state government teetering on the edge of collapse, calls for early assembly elections reverberate through Haryana's political corridors. Against the backdrop of impending Lok Sabha polls, scheduled for May 25 in Haryana, the unfolding political drama sets the stage for a fiercely contested battle for power.
