Haryana News: In Haryana, the temperature is constantly rising. All District Deputy Commissioners have been granted the authority by the Education Department to declare school holidays in order to shield children from the intense heat and heat wave. They can announce holidays in their district's schools after consulting with the DEO and DEEO. This right is his until May 31st.

Adjusted School Schedule

Due to the heat, the Education Department had earlier altered the school schedule. Students in schools that operate in shifts will study from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. during this time. In contrast, students in schools with two shift schedules will attend classes from 7 to 11:30 am during the first shift and from 11:45 pm to 4:15 pm during the second shift. Private schools will also be covered by these guidelines.

Summer Vacation Announcement

We would like to inform you that the Haryana Directorate of School Education has declared June 1–June 30, 2024, as the summer vacation period for all state-run and private schools. All educational institutions will be closed during this time. Following this, on July 1, 2024, all schools will reopen, just as in the past.
