Haryana News: Ambala Gears Up for Green Revolution! Chief Minister Naib Saini to Inaugurate PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme

Haryana News: On Monday, Ambala city will host the state-level Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme launch by Chief Minister Naib Saini. The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam is hosting an event in the Police Auditorium for this purpose, and the Chief Minister will be the main guest.

Installation of Solar Panels

According to VK Goyal, Superintendent Engineer, Electricity Corporation Ambala, roof-mounted solar panels would be put on middle-class and lower-class people's homes as part of this project. By producing enough energy, this class will become both an electricity producer and a user. The consumer's electricity cost will go down as a result. The central government would provide a subsidy of Rs 60,000 for a 2 kW panel.

He said the launch of an additional support programme of up to Rs 50,000 for one lakh impoverished families with average monthly energy consumption of up to 200 units and annual income listed on the family identifying card of up to Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand. This would enable low-income families to benefit from the PM Suryodaya Yojana and use power for household purposes.

Chief Minister's Tirth Yatra Yojana

As part of the Tirth Yatra Yojana of the Chief Minister, Naib Saini would flag off the bus from Police DAV School Ambala City to Ayodhya. The Chief Minister's Tirth Yatra Yojana beneficiaries will go to Ayodhya and pay a visit to the Shri Ram temple. The superintendent engineer said that preparations have been made for the state level Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme program. Along with this, duties of officers and employees have also been assigned. During this program, the beneficiaries of the scheme will also participate in it. All the officers have been given the responsibility to contribute to making this program successful with mutual coordination.
