States Ghaziabad News: Electric Buses Set to Connect Ghaziabad and Noida; 38 Routes Under Review, Request for 150 E-Bus submitted Sachin Singh Oct 08, 2023 06:18 GMT Ghaziabad News: Electric buses will soon be introduced in Noida and Ghaziabad, with 38 potential routes, although these routes are subject to approval and may be modified by the central authority. Additionally, a request for 150 new electric buses in the city has been submitted to the central authority. Central authority reviewing the routes Jyoti Saxena, the in-charge of the electric bus depot, said that there is close proximity to Ghaziabad and Noida and a significant daily commute happens daily between the two districts. To ensure a seamless experience for travellers, additional routes such as Dadri, Surajpur, and Noida Sector-37 have been shortlisted, with officials currently conducting surveys for their feasibility. Electric buses on these routes will be powered from the Akbarpur-Bahrampur charging station. Keshari Nandan Chaudhary, the Regional Manager of Roadways, stated that plans are in place to construct charging stations in Nandgram and Chikambarpur, and work is underway. Currently, buses for Ghaziabad and Noida are being operated from the charging station in Akbarpur-Bahrampur, with the final route selection pending confirmation from the central authority. Kaushambi - Dadri route resumes The operation of electric buses on the Kaushambi-Dadri route, which had been suspended for the past month, resumed on Saturday with a total of 10 buses in service. The e-bus depot in-charge said that the suspension was due to toll-related issues, which have now been resolved, allowing operations to resume from Saturday.
