Dehradun News: After witnessing thousand of cases related to the Cyber crime in the Country, Dehradun Police has shared as important advisory for the citizens to be careful of becoming a victim of online fraud of any kind. The Advertisement displayed by the Dehradun Police reflects the precautions and the measures one must take before sharing any kind of details related to their bank Accounts and other personal information like sharing the OTP, CVV or questions linked to the Personal Information of any individual.

Precautions You Must Take

The Cyber Cells across the country have been receiving thousands of calls related to Cyber crimes everyday. The shocking thing is that despite of being aware about such frauds taking place everyday, people tend to become victims of these frauds everyday. Most of the cases reported in the Cyber cells everyday is through the ATM Pin or the OTP. One must be very careful about sharing these two with any anonymous person. Lets take a look at what precautions you must take to prevent Cyber Crime-

• Make Sure that you register your correct number with the Bank, else the hacker can take advantage from your old number and commit a fraud
• Do not download extra Mobile Apps on that you have in your phone and commit crime your phones, if you don’t need a particular app, then delete it. Most of the hackers use information from the Apps
• Whenever you are doing an online Transaction, do not directly click on the Text Messages
• Make sure you follow these important guidelines before you become a victim of any such fraud
