Uttarakhand Weather Update: Landslides wreak havoc in city, destroys 15 Houses in Dehradun; check out IMD Forecast

Uttarakhand Rains: There seems to be no end to the havoc caused by the Monsoon in the valley of uttarakhand. Over 15 Houses were dismantled due to the landslides that occurred in the Vikas Nagar Tehsil in Dehradun. Apart from this, seven cow sheds were also destroyed in the mayhem. Over 50 people belonged to the 16 families suffered no losses during the landslides. The administration has moved all the people to the relief camps which are being set up in a school in Pachta village.

Rescue Teams saves lives of over 200 Devotees

Meanwhile the rescue teams were able to save over 200 devotees who were stuck in a bridege collapse on route to Madmaheshwar Temple in the Rudraprayag district. The other devotees were air lifted by the SDRF teams through the Helicopters and were taken to safer locations. The remaining devotees were rescued through suspension bridge crossing by the SDRF rescue teams.

Affected People shifted to Relief Camps

The heavy downpour during the last few weeks have caused severe damage to the city. Many people have lost their houses and been staying in Relief Camps. Many buildings and houses were swept away in rains. The Rescue teams are trying to provide clean water and food to the affected people.
