Dehradun News: Fake Registry Scam Unearthed, 9 arrested; SIT probe underway, details

 Dehradun News: The city’s Special Investigative Team unearthed a fake Registry Scam which is run by ‘White Collar gang’. SIT arrested 9 people out of which one of them is a Lawyer. SIT is likely to arrest more people in the scam. According to the SIT officials, they were all operating like a gang in the city. Some of them were directly involved and some of them were indirectly involved and running their operations. The officers are also planning to open some old cases and hoping to get more names linked to the case.

SIT planning to interrogate all accused

As Reported by the Times of India, there could be names of Property Dealers, Government Officers also in the list. The SIT is planning to interrogate all the accused and asked them about the details from where and how they used to run the whole operation. Accused were booked under sections, 420, 120 B, 468 and 47 of the IPC.

Cops planning to add 'Gangster Act' against the accused

Police is also planning to add the 'Gangster act' against all the accused. Cops are hopeful that by opening old cases they will be able to get some lead and then they will be able to carry forward the interrogation.
