Dehradun News: Deadliest Strain of Dengue found in Doon Medical College, DM & Principal take action

Dehradun News: There was panic in the Doon Medical College after the deadly strain of Denge D2 has been found in the Laboratory. The strain was found in 95% of the samples which underwent the RTPCR Test in the Microbiology lab of the  Doon Medical College. Only one sample had D3. College authorities have sent the report to the NIV and IDSP department. According to the College Principal, they have been sending report to the concerned departments. The testing kit which conducts these important tests is out of stock in the college laboratory.

Despite of sending repeated complaints, Hospital staff didn't receive the Testing kit. According to the experts of the Doon Medical College, the death rate in D2 strain of Dengue is higher than other strains. The liver and kidney of the Patient is affected in this form of Dengue.  

Hospitals Advice Patients to Follow Precautions

Hospitals have advised patients to follow all precautions like using Anti Mosquito Repellants in the Houses, do not keep stagnant water, don't let mosquitoes enter inside your House.
