  • While Haryana saw a reduction in crime, there was an increase in recorded drug smuggling and liquor smuggling cases, signaling a challenge for authorities.
  • The state also reported significant drug recoveries, amounting to Rs 300 crore, from methamphetamine laboratories.

  • The BJP government in Rajasthan faced criticism for its perceived silence following a series of heinous crimes in the state.
  • Incidents such as slitting throats for ornaments, kidnapping, gang-rape, molestation, and valuables-related violence prompted concerns.
