 Assailants target BJP leader's son in Prayagraj, escape after bomb attack

Vidhan Singh: Six terrorists threw two bombs at a car carrying a BJP leader's son in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday. Vidhan Singh, the son of BJP leader Vijayalakshmi Chandel, owned the automobile. Vidhan Singh (20) was on his way to his aunt's residence about 8 p.m. yesterday when the attack occurred. Singh and his companion were both unharmed.

The attack was captured on tape, showing six masked guys on two bikes tossing bombs through the car windscreen. Before police came, the perpetrators fled the scene. Vidhan Singh was recently involved in a fight with the son of a police constable. Shivam Yadav, the son of constable Shivbachan Yadav, is one of the suspects in the bombing.

FIR was filed against the accused

Vijayalakshmi Chandel, a BJP leader, has claimed that Shivam Yadav was behind the attack. She made a complaint with the Jhusi police station, and a FIR was filed against the accused in accordance with relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. (IPC). According to Chirag Jain, Assistant Commissioner of Police, the complainant has named six people, and the police have arrested three of them thus far.
