Viral IPL Video: In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, Indian batsman Rishabh Pant wowed cricket fans with his impressive performance during a match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Playing for Delhi Daredevils (now known as Delhi Capitals), Pant scored an incredible 128 runs in just 63 balls, which was the highest individual score by an Indian in the IPL at the time.

Rishabh Pant's blistering knock

He was only 20 years old at the time, and his unbeaten 128 included 15 boundaries and 7 sixes. Pant reached his century milestone in just 56 balls, showcasing his remarkable batting skills as a wicketkeeper-batsman. In a cricket match at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, the newly-appointed captain of the Delhi cricket team, Shreyas Iyer, won the coin toss and decided to bat first. However, the team lost two of its opening batsmen, Prithvi Shaw and Jason Roy, early on in the innings.

Despite these setbacks, Pant continued to play well and scored his first-ever century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) during the 19th over of the match. His score of 128 runs was the second-highest individual score in IPL history at that time, with only Brendon McCullum's score of 158 in the very first IPL game ten years earlier being higher. In particular, he smashed Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 26 runs in the last over of the match, including three consecutive sixes in the final three balls. With Pant's knock, the team scored a total of 138 runs in the last 10 overs of the game and almost 70% of his team's total runs came from Pant.

Despite Pant's impressive performance, Delhi lost the game by 9 wickets to the table-topping Sunrisers Hyderabad team. Shikhar Dhawan scored a brilliant 92 runs off 50 balls for the Sunrisers, while the team captain Kane Williamson scored 83 runs off 53 balls.
