Video: Lionel Messi Surrounded With Thousands Of Fans In Hometown Rosario

It's been around two weeks since Argentina won the FIFA World Cup 2022 under Lionel Messi's captaincy. Ever since that magical day in Doha for Messi, the world is dancing imagining the trophy in the hands of the star footballer. Messi won the Golden Ball for the player of the tournament and scored twice in the final where Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties in the final.

Messi who is currently with his family in his hometown Rosario has been hounded by his supporters, wherever he goes.

In the latest video that has gone viral, Messi can be seen mobbed by his supporters in a car.

Reports suggest the footballer was on his way to attend his niece's 15th birthday party in his hometown.

Earlier, Messi and Argentina players were forced to abandon an open bus victory parade in Buenos Aires due to the massive crowds.

This World Cup win was Argentina's third in the history of the tournament while it was also their first triumph since 1986. Messi who earlier announced his retirement from international football. But post World Cup win, Messi took a U-turn and said he would like to play more games for Argentina as World Champions.
