 Tendulkar gives masterclass to Smith

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar says that due to Steve Smith's unconventional technique, Indian bowlers will have to bowl him out a bit. He advised the Indian fast bowlers to bowl this batsman on the line of 'fifth stump' during the series against Australia. Smith, who was left out of the previous series between India and Australia in 2018-19 due to his involvement in the ball tampering case, will be ready to make up for it this time. Smith has scored six Test centuries against India.

Tendulkar said, "Smith's technique is unconventional …. Normally in Test matches captain must ask the bowler to bowl around the off stump or fourth stump line, but Smith moves so maybe the ball line. Should be four to five inches further,"

He said, 'To get the edge of Steve's bat, you should aim to bowl on the line between the fourth and fifth stumps. This is nothing else but a mental change in the line.

Tendulkar said, "I have read that Smith has said that he is ready to bowl short pitches … probably he is expecting the bowlers to be aggressive against him from the beginning. But I think they should be tested on the outside of the off stump. Put them on the backfoot and make a mistake in the beginning."
