Ganguly, according to her, was a capable administrator. "But I don't know, for some reason, Amit Shah's son continues on the Indian cricket board (BCCI) but Sourav Ganguly has been removed. What is the intention? We want to know," she added. The Bengal chief minister's comment came amid rumours that Ganguly soured his relationship with the BCCI. She urged with PM Modi to see that Ganguly be brought before the ICC. "He is depriving himself. We are proud of him," she said. World Cup champion Roger Binny is expected to succeed Ganguly as head of the BCCI.
