SL Vs Pak 2023: Pakistan continued their unstoppable march in the World Test Championship as they humiliated Sri Lanka in the second test match. Pakistan had already won the first test match by a huge margin and they throttled Sri Lanka even more.

They won the second test by an inning and 222 runs. That is one of the biggest victories in test cricket ever. Noman Ali and Abdullah Shafique became the cornerstone of the victory.

Pakistan destroyed Sri Lanka in both the batting and bowling departments and displayed one of the most dominant performances ever. They are at the top of the World Test Championship table right now and that is the dream start they always wanted.

A Batting Clinic

Pakistan put on a batting clinic to score 576 runs after dismissing Sri Lanka for just 166 in the first inning. Abdullah Shafique scored a double century while Salman Ali Agha remained not out on 132 runs.

Babar Azam's bad form continued as he was once again dismissed for 39 runs. Shan Masood, Saud Shakeel, and Mohammad Rizwan scored half-centuries to help Pakistan reach this mammoth total.

Deadly Bowling

Pakistan was deadly when it came to bowling. Abrar Ahmed took four wickets in the first inning to dismiss Sri Lanka at just 166 runs. Naseem Shah was also successful as he took three wickets.

But the second inning belonged to Noman Ali completely. After failing to take a single wicket in the first inning he took 7 wickets in the second in 23 overs. It was his career-best bowling performance to clean-sweep the SL Vs Pak 2023 series.

Dhananjaya de Silva scored a half-century in the first inning while Angelo Mathews remained not out on one end at 63 runs in the second inning. Other than these two none of the Sri Lankan batsmen were able to impress or do anything on the pitch.
