Shikhar Dhawan's maiden ton pushes Chennai back

Delhi Capitals registered a 5 wicket win against MS Dhoni-led Chennai Super Kings. CSK batted first and scored 179 runs. Faf du Plessis was the leading run-getter from the Chennai side. Later on, Ravindra Jadeja also contributed with his quick-fire 33 runs.

In reply to Chennai's 179, Delhi Capitals lost their two-wicket in quick succession but Shikhar Dhawan held at the crease and ended up scoring his maiden IPL century. At a point, CSK got their grip back in the game and Delhi required 17 runs in the final over but the heroics of Axar Patel led Delhi Capitals to the winning line, with his 3 sixes in the final over.

Delhi Capitals are at the top of the points table with 14 points in nine games they played so far. Shreyas Iyer-led Delhi Capitals will play their next match against Kings XI Punjab on Tuesday.
