RCB won the toss and opt to bowl first but it was Shafali Verma and Meg Lanning who turned the opportunity in her team's favour despite losing the toss. Batting first, DC had a carnage-full start as they smashed the ball all around the park. Shafali Verma smashed 84 off 45 balls and her knock included 10 boundaries alongside four maximums in RCB vs DC WPL 2023 match. During her knock, Shafali Verma managed to smash ten boundaries and four maximums as well. Her companion and skipper of DC, Meg Lanning, also smashed 72 off 43 balls with the help of 14 boundaries. Though the chants of 'RCB, RCB' echoed throughout the ground, it was these star openers who took away all the momentum to their side. RCB chose to bowl first but none of their bowlers could do what fans had expected. Just like Mumbai Indians yesterday, DC has also pulled a crazy start. It will be interesting to see how the starry batting lineup of RCB chases the mammoth target in the second innings.
